FAQ's

1) Does my dog need to be vaccinated to walk with City Canine?

Answer: As City Canine wants to make sure that all of their beloved animals are looked after to the best of their ability, we require all dogs to have had the following vaccinations: rabies, bordatella and DHPP. We do require proof, so, either have your vaccination sheet ready when you receive your complimentary dog evaluation or have your veterinarian e-mail  a hard copy to City Canine.

2) How was City Canine started?

Answer: City Canine was started because of our realization of the community's demand for high quality, detail orientated, reliable pet care and reasonable rates. Also, coming from a family of lifelong pet owners, we fully understand the needs of humans and their animals.

3) Why should I trust City Canine?

Answer: City Canine has been in business for 7 years and have many outstanding references and testimonials to show for it. City Canine is not only pet care experts, but, we have a proven track record of reliable and safe high quality pet care. When Mark was operating "Walkies" from 1997 - 2002, he was entrusted by members of the Vancouver Canucks hockey team for dog walking and pet sitting services when the team was on the road. 

4) Is City Canine bonded, insured and trained in pet first aid?

Answer: Yes! We are bonded (criminal record checks), professionally licensed and insured, as well as certified in pet first aid. Proof is available upon request.

5) My dog has behavioral issues or is out of control, can you help me?

Answer: Yes, after an evaluation of your dog, we can schedule your dog to go out for some regular structured walking which will improve their pulling on the leash, a possible fear of other dogs and people and we will strive to make them a better dog. Please phone Mark to discuss the details of the situation.

6) Will my dog be part of a large pack?

Answer: No,  we never walk dogs in large, out of control packs! We always strive for a professionally run business and image is everything. We always choose dogs that are well socialized, well mannered and just love getting out and walking with all of their friends. The groups will always be in control, making it safe for everyone.

7) Will you take my dog to a dog park?

Answer: Yes, but, we do require that your dog displays proper recall. We always ask permission to take your dog off leash! City canine likes to let the dogs have their ball chasing fun, but, it is always done in a safe manner!
